Next Mile upfront tuition coverage differs from a traditional tuition reimbursement program because participating employees will not need to pay tuition out of pocket. InStride covers the payment for employees right away. DSPs are responsible for using Amazon’s funds to pay InStride’s invoices.

Here’s how disbursements work for upfront tuition coverage:

Your DSP will be invoiced for the courses taken by your employees up to 4x a year.
When InStride invoices you, we also send your invoice to Amazon. Amazon simultaneously begins the process of disbursing your funds for eligible employees to your company accordingly, up to $5,250 per employee per coverage year.
- Disbursement funds from Amazon will automatically show up in your invoice portal where all reimbursement funds are distributed. DSPs receive their funds from Amazon within 2 weeks.
- You can accept the funds or dispute following the standard dispute method, if necessary.
Invoices are sent through email. They can be paid via ACH, bank to bank, or credit card. InStride’s invoices are due within 30 days
- In order to reduce the administrative burden, once AutoPay is set up, the system is configured for auto-debit or credit. AutoPay will occur on the invoice due date–30 days after the invoice was sent. You have the ability to opt out of AutoPay if you would like to pay each invoice manually. Note: Any time a payment method is changed, you will need to opt out of AutoPay again.
Owners have access to a dedicated Administrative Portal where you can track program activity like who is enrolled and program spend, including a detailed itemization of what’s happening in every invoice cycle.
